A Pokèmon Violet review: I got the game on digital pre-order and played it at midnight (UK time) on the 18th November. I've so far completed two gyms, one team star base and one titan battle. I caught more Pokémon than I have in previous games and on my way to 100 on my dex. The game is so much fun and even more fun than Sword. The story is immersive, the open world is great and the amount of stuff to do is immense. I also love going to the school as there are plenty of things to do such as lessons and learning more about the staff who work there. The only downsides are the patchy performance and sometimes hilarious glitches. I'm also very tired of the toxic discourse every time Pokèmon releases a game and just let people enjoy it. Game development isn't easy (from what I've read and learnt from people in the gaming industry) and my only wishes going forward into gen 10 is that there is more time to have a more polished game and releases aren't every three years just to get into the holidays release window.
