I listened on Audible. Found myself thinking ‘Victim’ a fair bit during the first half and that he was living a very alcohol and drug fuelled existence. But I felt from when he met Meghan it flowed better and was more interesting. It becomes a love story and based on his version I can see why they wanted to escape the press. He’s clearly got PTSD related to photographers/media etc. and it causes him huge anxiety. I found it hard to believe he was thrown under a bus by his family in the way that he portrays and his version leaves some crucial bits out. - like all the attention he’s deliberately coveted ever since. There is another side and we will never know it. But he firmly believes his version and it is a moving one. I just hope he’s happy now and keeps this happiness constant for his children as they grow up. Maybe one day they will become friends with their cousins and the rift will be healed for the next generation.
