This isn't a rom-com, by American standards. It's much deeper than that. The acting is better, the cinematography is superb, and you relate to the main characters more closely. I love Korean dramas, having graduated from the American counterparts a few years ago, and this one in particularly exceptional. I love this series and actors Kim Da-Mi (Yeon soo) and Choi Woo-shik are two of my favorite. My favorite subplot is the love triangle(?) with the brilliant, insightful pop star NJ, played masterfully by Roh Jeung-eui. It felt like a real behind-the-scenes look at a 3-dimensional human being, playing the role of a two-dimensional celebrity. If I need a good laugh, or an "ahhhhh" moment, I cue up Our Beloved Summer.
