The controversial plot of the movie is Idk what to say it's alright, but I don't like the portrayal of khilji i mean i know he was barbaric but Idk why do they potray muslim rulers as dark with scars all over they were not like that. And the wrong Urdu pronunciation just cringed me out the entire time and one more thing that I didn't like about the film is its potrayal of the purdah system. The purdah system was present throughout india and was practiced by almost all communities but it was more strict in the Muslims at that time and even more strict for the royal women and the women of the harem. It's not just padmavat ive noticed this in many other films like jodha akbar i mean it was forbidden for the royal women to go outside without a ghoongat or a niqaab. This always bugs me.
