I reallllllly wanna like Tyler Perry’s shows...I have been watching Sistas trying my hardest to see if it gets better but 19 episodes in and unfortunately the acting hasn't improved, the storylines are predictable, and not only does it negatively portray black women but there are no black men portrayed positively in this show except the light skinned man who’s a “pastor” and the light skinned one who’s sexuality is questionable. The only white man in the show is made to be the one that actually treats one of the sistas with high regard. The women are portrayed as desperate and insecure despite how successful they are, dating married men, men with questionable sexuality and men who have cheated numerous times. I am disappointed and this show is a demonstration of why BLACK WOMEN and BLACK MEN (outside of Tyler Perry) should be in the writers room when it comes to writing their stories. Tyler needs a writing team BADLY!!
