The only thing that let this movie down was the writing, otherwise was a great movie.The origin story didn’t have to keep repeating at all. No flashbacks were really required after the intro.

Honestly it's 4.5 out of 5. Barbie Movie feeds bits of the reality of life in the real world for women, compressed into the fantasy satirical Barbie World. It makes people think, without answering the questions, and that's really what a good movie should do is entertain while expanding those critical thinking skills. The acting is definitely award winning, and the directing is intelligent, which some people may not fully understand.
