#Vettaiyan - A must film for Rajinikanth# All appreciation to the Director T.J. Gnanavel for effective handling of the film and plot and delivering a sensational film. It is a well made film with interesting twist and turns keeping you at the edge of the seat. The Director needs to be applauded for selecting the best stars for each of the role in the film and the outcome is a pleasure to watch. Amitabh Bachchan fits in to the role as Satyadev and no one could have done it better and his voice does the magic. A challenging role and done in Big B style. Anirudh has done a wonderful job in BGM which goes well with the mood of the film. A big difference we could see from Jailer (a typical Rajni film). He has proved that, he is capable of handling every film by its merits and with the Director's target and message not distorted. Ritika Singh fits perfectly as a Police Officer assisting the SP in crime investigation. Remarkable performance. She will be talked about for this role. Dushara Vijayan, did justice to her role. Abirami, Rohini doing their role well and what was asked for by the Director. Rana Daggubati, has a brief role and does justice to the role in his style. Manju Warrier, could have been used better. The scene in which she comes out with a Pistol from the bedroom, was classic. Some more portions could have been there. She was in her elements in the song. Fahad Faazil, Lived as Patrick (Battery) all through the film as a Live wire. We used to call one of our colleague as Battery (Patrick) during 1989 and felt good about that, even he was a Live wire. Rajni - What can we say? He has lived in the role of SP Adhyan. He has always mentioned that he is happy in following the Director's advice on the role except for certain improvisation from his side. A great film which will remain as a gem like Kabali & Kaala of recent times, where he was portrayed very differently. Rajni needed a film like this in his 50th year, Self satisfying. Cinematography, Editing, Story, Screenplay, Music, Direction outstanding. About the subject of the film, I will write a detailed report in the next post. FDNS - First Day Night Show and it is already 03:30hrs. I have been a Rajni fan from the days of "Rajni style", "Idhu eppadi iruku", "Chicklet", Reverse stairs climbing, Billa till today. In this movie, I got totally absorbed as a Gnanavel movie and Rajni lived as that character. As Rajni said at the music launch, Lokesh Kanagaraj film is coming to give that mass Rajni. Let this be Gnanavel Rajni Film. The Director has done full justice. Lyca needs to be appreciated for the amount of money spent and we want them to stay strong always for the health of the film Industry. Producers who have the guts to make such big budget movies.
