It is entertaining. But I read this as a horsewoman who has ridden since I could walk.and it is clear that Patterson is no horseman. There is a whole layer missing in this story in that there is no devopment of the horses themselves as personalities..and not much either of the deep relationsship one must have with a horse to succeed at the FEI levels.We are not even told what color Coronado and Sky are and generally Patterson writes about them as if they were sports cars, referring to Sky or Coronsdo as
"The horse."If Patterson wants to write a satisfying horse story for horse people he needs to read a few.
