Dominique Perilloux

This was my first experience with Marvel movies. Overall, it did not meet my expectations. The humor was off at some points; the plot was so large that it became confusing; the sound track often took away from the power of the scene itself. Unfortunately, Captain Marvel on paper and Brie Larson did not fully mesh; her execution of the role did not live up to the hype around her character. On the other hand, Nick Fury was enjoyable to watch; his experience with the Marvel films definitely made him the star of the movie, aside from Goose the cat. The scenes with Maria and her daughter reuniting with Carol were heartwarming. Although this movie was not as great as I expected, it was still decent. However, I hope the next Marvel film I watch is better because if it is not, then it could be the last. (6/10)
