This game ties up the Winterses' storyline to past events to make up Resident Evil VII's distant nature, satisfying hardcore Resident Evil fans. Keeping the breath of fresh air from the previous entry, Village also showcases a very interesting and enjoyable story mixed with what seems to me like impressive gameplay. While the game itself isn't particularly scary, some segments make up for it and the game still keeps an eery tone during its entirety. And let’s not get into its sheer beauty brought by the Resident Evil engine! I will not go further into detail to avoid spoilers, but in conclusion, this game is a masterpiece that both long time hardcore fans and avid gamers in search of the same freshness Resident Evil VII gave can enjoy.
