Somewhat fun to watch but really not much win the way of filmmaking. I am Jewish and though it's been a while since I went to a Bar or Bat Mitzvah I live in a fairly affluent community and have never seen a Bar or Bat Mitzvah party as over the top as these. It's probably accurate that the parents are more interested in the religious/cultural aspects and the kids are more interested in the party. My real issue with the film was that there is no character or plot development. Girl swoons seeing her crush, then something goes wrong. Rinse, repeat. You could have edited these scenes together in any order and gotten about the same movie.
