The best Sarkar film, easily.
First of all, let me shove aside considerations like
1) these movies are plagiarized off the Godfather-franchise --- This fact is not 100% true (In the original series Vito Corleone (Subhas Nagre) dies in the first movie itself, succeeded by his son Michael Corleone/Al Pacino from Godfather2. However, in Sarkar 2 (Raj) the son (Abhishek/Shankar Nagre) dies. And besides, I don't care. I have watched all 3 Francis Ford Coppola movies yes, and I'm not here to compare and contrast, or do critical film analysis. I'm here to simply enjoy a movie.
2) This actor acted well, that actor acted bad, Bacchan was good, Sadh was bad, Yami was bad, Manoj was ok - who tf cares? I'm not a casting agency auditioning actors for my next movie. I'm here to again, simply enjoy the movie.
And is this movie enjoyable?
Yes. In spades.
I am a big fan of the first two movies. And you need to watch the first part atleast to understand this movie fully. The second part is excellent as well but not essential to watching part 3.
Now, why do I feel this is the best Sarkar movie? Because this movie actually shows Subhas Nagre (Amitabh) handling issues directly, and showing his true abilities, the kind of abilities that made him Sarkar in the first place. This movie shows Nagre not just as a loved and respected don whose past is unclear, but also as a political genius showing his actual intelligence, emotional quotient, contacts and skills to beat a real-time villian (Jackie Shroff)
In the first two movies, you don't actually get to see Subhash's real abilities. Because by the end of the first film, he had given his reins to his son Shankar (Abhishek) Nagre. In the second film too, Shankar was handling things, until he got killed in the second half. Subhash took back the reins for just one scene in Sarkar 2, after which the movie ended.
And now, the original Sarkar is back handling things - alone, betrayed, nothing to lose. Sarkar is a raging, stone-cold lion now.
If you liked the first two movies, stop reading negative reviews and just watch the film. Thank me later
