Cari Mora is a disappointment, a recycling of many of the same tropes that Thomas Harris used in his earlier novels.
Sad to say, but considering the fine work he did in years gone by, it is obvious that the creative well has gone dry, and everything from the motley assortment of extraneous characters to the forced zigzag of time, place, and events, points to a labor, not of love, but of necessity.
