Any continuation that was made in the last 10 years was severely lacking.. but this had relentless suspense, the story paced out nicely, and had good kills-- cliche jump scares aren't part of the movie either. Spoilers: However, the amount of clicks from guns failing to fire are overused, and Sally being capable of shooting her gun then talking after being absolutely shredded by a chainsaw was frustrating to watch. Cheap saves and bad choices are rarely kept out of horror these days-- but it's preferable to CGI and ineffective jump scares. But overall this one was good, scary and deserves better recognition than the negative criticism it's getting. If ya want the original, watch the original.
