A fascinating glimpse into Obama's road to the Presidency, with numerous incites into life at the White House, and his personal thoughts.
It is though, very obviously sanitised to within an inch of its life. Every sentence, every word, carefully edited to be politically correct and inoffensive. It is a meticulous balance of anecdotes, family, politics, the economy etc. It was clearly decided to avoid the big elephant in the room - that horrible individual who occupied the White House after Obama. I guess Penguin didn't want the inevitable petty recriminations and law suits. Perhaps they felt there were more interesting things to include in the 700 pages. Too right.
