Oof, I don’t even know where to start. One thing I can say for sure is this show puts a big freaking smile on my face no matter how many times I watch it! I thought this was gonna be just another kids tv series, but I think people of all ages should watch this masterpiece! I literally finished the entire series in a night and I didn’t regret it! And although this sounds cringey as hell, this show literally brought music back into my life. The main character, Julie, is relatable in so many ways, and that’s one of the main reasons I’m in love with this series. The phantoms, Luke, Reggie, and Alex are probably the most lovable and passionate male protagonists I’ve come across! The series has its fair share of goofiness and excellent ghost jokes, but also had that sensitivity and those vulnerable moments which got me shedding tears. Starting with the music, I think it was so authentic and real, they just get stuck in your head for months! Literally! Although Madison Reyes (Julie) has never been exposed to recording or acting, I think she did a PHENOMENAL job!!! Everything about the songs, from the lyrics to the music, from the choreography to the realness, it’s just beyond this world! Hats off to the cast and crew, man! Coming to the acting...I don’t even have the right words. From the very first episode, the acting sucks you right in. I know Madison Reyes has never acted or recorded before this show, and regardless of that fact, she’s nailed it! And the rest of the cast has as well! The acting is real and you can see that they put in all that they’ve got, which is commendable👏🏻👏🏻 I also love how they’ve incorporated LGBTQ+ themes in the series as well ’cause we need to spread the love! All in all, this series is, with no hint of doubt, my favorite <3 This show is literally my source of serotonin! I really wish everybody out there watches this show, ’cause well, everybody needs their dose of Julie and the Phantoms. It would crush me if Netflix doesn’t renew this show. This show is literally my lifeline at this point, and I’m sure many people out there have related to this series is many different ways. We need a season 2 for Julie and the Phantoms!! And many more!! To everyone out here, reading reviews to decide whether this show’s worth watching, stop, and stream Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix! Trust me, it’s DEFINITELY worth it.
