I went into this movie with low expectations after reading the reviews but I have to say that I enjoyed it far more than I expected to. I've not seen the musical so I had nothing to compare it to. Obviously it's very much fantasy so don't expect it to be logical. If you're not moved by Jennifer Hudson singing Memories then your soul is dead or you've never known (or been) someone that's broken. Did I like it? Actually yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, but not everyone will "get" it.
