superbly done, and yet difficult to watch in so many parts because of the horror of this woman's life...Andie MacDowell's youngest daughter in the lead is absolutely perfect, and AM is wonderful as her bipolar mother in the plot...I can't stop watching it, but one should not watch it before going to bed...it is depressing, but in a brilliant way...

Dreadful. So disappointing. Script is awful and this from Julian Fellows??? American actors dull dull dull but then who can compete with Maggie Smith? And the worst part are the phony sets and the most atrocious costumes. Sets look like Disney Land… surely there were real beaux arts buildings in NY that could have been used?
