This is the first time I've read a book by June Hampson and I'm pleasantly surprised! This book is just absolutely amazing .. I just couldn't put it down and read the whole book in 2 days. I would have read it all in 1 day if my body didn't need sleep!! It had me hooked from the very first page! The way the characters are written and the snippets of history compiled makes this book even more special. I had to research parts of the book to see if some of the characters were fiction or not. Learning parts are true made this book even more fascinating for me to read. Pure genius and extremely well written with a touch of class. The story has everything from : crime, abuse, love, sex, happiness and sorrow. Truly great read...a little gem of a find. Will definitely be reading more from June Hampson.
