If you can overlook the glaring fault in the movie, it is written and acted excellently with lots of plot twists. The fault is that no successful woman would immediately upon getting the top job in the company, engage in gross sexual harrassment in the first week of her new job. That plot element is farcical. But after that, the movie has an excellent story.

This is a rare comedy, one of the best in years. The story has heart, and delves deeply into the psyche of the lead character, played by John Leguizamo. The writing is spectacular, imaginatively original and funny. The script is the star here. The story never slows. The acting and directing are equally superb. I had to watch this movie several times to catch all the humor in the dialog and the screen images. I heartily recommend this film to all movies buffs who like comedy that strikes a realistic chord. I have to give John and Kathy DeMarco extremely high praise for the script.

I wanted this movie to be very good. But certain parts were totally unbelievable: 1) The villain told the company he would come back and kill people if they fired him and they took no precautions at all after he was fired, did not post guards in the lobby, did not call the police. Unbelievable. 2) The Swat team took no action upon arriving at the building and kept on thinking up reasons not to enter the building. Unbelievable. Throughout the entire shooting episode, no cop or swat team entered the building. None at all. The film showed incredible incompetence of the company managers as well as the police agencies. Not believable. Two stars.

Excellent movie. The story holds out all the way to the end. The characters are funny, and not cartoonish like a typical Hollywood comedy. The acting is exceptional. The Directing and writing are top notch. I did not waste my time watching this film.
