Not sure these terms are correct- but the cinematography and direction are incredible, creative- sometimes beautiful, poignant sometimes intense and surprising. I also loved the length of some of the scenes. For example when Roy Goode attempts to teach the son to ride a horse, he is deliberate and supportive, but he doesn't let the boy give up. . It might be 15 minutes long, but was not boring and didn't seem stretched out
