Worse than a time-waster. Actually makes me yawn, and actually exclaim out loud, "Who writes this stuff?" and "I can't believe a network would broadcast this." The plot is unbelievable, not like The Blacklist (which I actually like a lot) unbelievable, but as in poorly constructed. It is more like a fantasy than anything remotely possible. The characters are cartoonish in their simplicity and their relationships are predictable. The writing is at best pedestrian and at worst makes me laugh out loud. The acting is pretty amateurish, but that may not be the fault of the actors as much as that of the script writers. It is undoubtedly difficult to deliver many of the lines with a straight face. I have watched several episodes for togetherness with my husband, who likes the show, but a few times I have left in the middle. My gag impulse just won't let me sit through it.
