I watched 3 1/2 episodes and had to stop. I wanted to know if anything happens in the end that would make it worth watching, so I read the summary of the rest of the episodes on Wikipedia. From what I read, it just gets worse. Sad, pathetic characters and a bad story, nothing redeeming, just awful. No thanks.

I thought I’d see it through, even though I wasn’t enjoying it. So much weird sexual stuff and daydreams/dreams. Had the daydreams/dreams been real in some cases, it might have made the plot more interesting. I was hoping for at least a redeeming ending to make it all worth it, but I didn’t get it! The finale ended like there’d be another episode next week! No satisfaction! Not worth my time. Will not be watching season 2 if there is one. Disappointing.

Don’t bother with the show-it strayed so far from the book that it was unrecognisable. I kept hoping it would get better, but had to give up 2 1/2 episodes in. Are we really supposed to believe that such an immature, stunted, 49 year old woman who hasn’t dealt with any of her issues can write an advice column?! The real Sugar of Tiny Beautiful Things had over come so much in her life and come out the other side that she had real, valuable advice to give and it was written beautifully. I would definitely recommend the book!
