Very similar premise to how to train your dragon, somehow manages to succeed in its own way. This is an absolute delight of a film. My only complaints revolve around the main characters and how they are characterized, but that would all be spoilers and any notes I have are pretty minor, itll just wrack your brain a bit if you try to understand the way these people think sometimes.

Spoilers if you can call spoilers on a plot this nonexistent. I enjoy the game for it's mechanics, but the story is incredibly weak, even for a Pokemon game. One minute you've just won through the semi finals, and the next you're infiltrating a company's HQ because everyone assumes the boss is up to something super evil. And why does everyone assume this? Because the champion is late for dinner. Honestly. Then of course the employees of the company have to turn evil because of the huge shift that's taken place, and yada yada yada. Honestly my only real gripe about the plot is that everything just kind of happens. There's no through-line, and the only "hint" that the chairman is even up to something is in his league card, which is optional to read, and only states "only his assistant truly understands what he means.". Honestly the weakest story since gen 1. I wouldn't suggest buying unless you really want to play a main line 3d Pokemon game that doesn't look like it was meant to be played on a Wii.
