This film tries to be something cool but is boring, repetitive, and insulting. The costume and scene designs do not compensate for this film’s lack of respect to the actors as well as the audience. Don’t believe the hype, the Emperor has no clothes. I would give it no stars if I could.

Fantastic and quite moving. Great cast, directing, choreography, music, and cinematography. Bravo!

Real, honest, reliable and entertaining. A coming of age story that reminds it can happen at any age. The choices taken can be hard no matter what but can also bring an authentic life and happiness.

Unfortunately it is too subtle, slow, with not enough story development for one to care. And it is misleading to call this a comedy.

Interesting and honest portrayal of how a prisoner transitions after experiencing a program to save a horse that affects him in unexpected ways.

I had high hopes but the first hour was a waste of time and included inappropriate dialogue for a minor, in very bad taste and disrespectful to the audience. And missed the point of comedy. A mess.

Great story and uplifting yet realistic film, starring one of the greatest actors, Sydney Poitier. Interesting to see early 1960s and how things were then, with his character, Catholic religion (“God is the father of all faiths.”), Mexican-Americans, and community spirit. A year that is over 50 years ago, and some things have not changed all that much. It is now 2020 and is a year to change everything.
