I think that the book was very, very good. The movie was okay. I think they did a great job with the church fire scene. The acting in this movie is decent. When Johnny killed Bob there was blood everywhere which really brought down this scene. When Darry "slaps Ponyboy it's a push. That is not a slap. Dally is great is this movie by far the best character in this movie. Johnny looks so much younger than Ponyboy even though he is supposed to be older. I'm not critiquing the movie because of this. Ponyboy is boring when we don't get his thoughts which is hard to do because it's a movie. Overall 7/10
