From a film making perspective this was brilliantly filmed and actwd. An amazing a cross between a play, musical, and film at times, it captured Belfast, and the heart of its people beautifully.
I grew up in North Belfast in the 70s including time in the Ardoyne. This film moved me to tears at the end. Capturing the troubles through the eyes of a 9 year old was brilliantly done, and was so similar to my experience it was unreal. Everything from not understanding why this was happening, trying to identifying prodestants (how ridiculous !!) to getting caught up in riots. But by far the most emotional piece was towards the end. I remember leaving Belfast on the bus to Dublin, with my wife and son, and my mum seeing us off, holding her tears back. And then that last screen 'To all those that... '. Thankyou Kenneth
