The film as a concept is great with the thought of having an imaginary friend. Whilst the Concept is good, the delivery and flow of the story I felt was average and a bit disjointed. The actual acting wasn’t anything spectacular, which is passable for a kids film I guess. Ryan Reynolds delivers a standard performance with his standard wit and doesn’t push the boundaries and the female lead character was partially better but no where near outstanding. Watchable with the kids for sure but it’s far from a classic and if you wait for it to come out on Sky you won’t be gutted you waited.

If you’re looking for something to watch on a Saturday night just to chill and relax to then this would be it. It’s not going to win any Oscars but for comedic value and watchability it’s up there. Decent music and some great performances means that Iv Defo spent 90 mins watching worse films than this 7/10
