Its not as stuffy, or melancholic, as other versions of Persuassion. At first, I was a but taken aback by Annes relationship with the audience, but I have ended up enjoying it thoroughly. The honesty of what Anne really thinks juxtaposed with what her character says becomes a relief. Henry Golding and Cosmo are marvelous. Dakota Johnson superb. Well worth watching. .
