JLo, as well as this documentary, is full of ostentatious, self-glorifying stale banter.
In this documentary we see nothing interesting from JLo’s personal life, family life or actual career struggles. It simply covers self-produced issues that she herself claims are produced by political, racial and cultural discrimination. She complains and constantly excuses her career faults by being a Latina woman. She should really consider that maybe she’s not as talented as she thinks.
Throughout this documentary, JLo claims to love to sing, dance and act but it’s very clear that she is only truly interested in the feedback, praise and attention she receives after she does those things.
She has no true interest in film making, storytelling, creating deep characters or producing meaningful craft. She’s solely and completely motivated by fame, credit and money. Shallow.
This documentary was a shallow COMMERCIAL for and from JLo.
By watching this documentary the viewers feed her delusional idea of stardom.
JLo is not a devoted artist. She is a Hollywood star. She in not a passionate actress. She’s a spoiled diva. She’s a product of the media.
There is no problem with being an unauthentic, soul-less vehicle for Hollywood production… but claiming creative responsibility, artistic integrity or even suggesting political ideas is beyond her scope of understanding.
JLo is a product of the media. Without the media, there would be no JLo.
She is clearly trying her hardest to stay relevant with this documentary.
