A show from the same epoch as Tartakovsky's crown works in preety much the same style. To be enjoyed along Cow and Chicken, The Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain and the likes. As related to Cartoon Network and its glory years can be considered a modern clasic (at least from the stand point of my childhood - a bit subjective but mehh).
