I'm very sad. I had high hopes for Strange New Worlds but Kurtzman, Goldsman and Myers have no concept of what Star Trek is nor do they understand anything about science fiction. The writing is inappropriate for sci-fi and resembles writing that is better suited for a high school comedic-drama aimed at 14 year olds, clearly their intended demographic. Also, those in creative control seem to ignore 57 years of Star Trek Canon. They only refer to canon when it suits them then make sophomoric choices and have characters act in a way that is completely contrary to their established personalities. It's all just sad...very sad.
