A great, slow burn... the metaphor of loss of sight / loss of vision (as in, creative thought for the future) is smart and allows for deeper reflections on seeing vs. observing, the blind leading the blind, etc. Queen Kane is annoying at first, but the depths of her insanity gradually flesh her character out. The teenage kids are marvelous, and Alfre Woodard is, obviously, a goddess. Some scenes are gory and not for youngins (or oldies like me) but overall this is a well-written and well-acted show that is worth taking the time to watch.
