I watched this with my son today he is 11. He did not grow up knowing Bob Ross, which I did grow up watching his show on PBS with my Dad. Bob Ross did have this swagger about him and Owen Wilson did a good job portraying the swagger part of his character. I think if it had been anyone other than Owen Wilson this movie would have tanked. The storyline was ok...but my son said he kept feeling sorry for the main character and that did not portray his life in the right light. Bob Ross never lost his job or had to compete for his job...that put him in a weird light. I know the film was about "Carl Nargle" but we know who it really was supposed to represent.
