A great show from my childhood, when the entertainment industry understood the idea of "entertaining". So many people today say it was a simpler time...it wasn't! My dad was a WW2 Veteran & a steel worker & mom was a homemaker. They KNEW their 3 sons would soon be old enough to go to Vietnam. They KNEW what was at stake, and they neither wanted/needed Hollywood taking sides and being muckrakers during national debates. These shows gave 'us kids' something to encourage our imagination, and they gave our parents a respite for 30 minutes, every week to smile & relax. That's why the game shows off that era are coming back. Maybe it's time for a new Favorite Martian... I still enjoy it!
