Compared to other works of Polanski including similar themes (such as Rosemarie's baby and Repulsion) I didn't think highly of the film. The ending becomes quite predictable from a certain point onwards, which is a huge disappoinment while we're talking about Polanski. Also, for the exact same reason most scenes seem rather absurd than horrifying.
