The Lion King is one of my absolute favourite movies. We watch it at least 3-4x a week. When it first came out in the 90s I was about 10ish and spent the whole day at the cinema watching it over and over at every single time it played. When it came to VHS, my brother bought it for me knowing how much I loved it. My kids love it. So I was stoked when Lion King 2019 was coming out. Well I left halfway through the movie. It felt like the voice overs were just repeating the lines, but not putting emotion into it as the original. Which is sad, as they should know the expectations that the 80s/90s kids were wanting. It felt too fake, all the scenes were off, the lines from the script were just said, No emotions no feelings no nothing whatsoever. Sad!!!! For anyone, just buy the 90s original movie. Trust me it’s AMAZING.
