Movie is a slow one , beginning had failed to grasp my attention for 60% of the beginning of entire film. Life struggles for the individual were represented throughout the duration. Traumatized events to main character , family resents him. Religion is truly portrayed in a terrible light based on correctional facility and father character. Ending is where the message was clear. Not a romantic positive energy gay themed movie I was hoping for went in without a clue. A couple parts I would describe as being disturbing, yet powerful events to support ending conclusion. It is not happily ever after as love Simon , more realistic and based on someone’s life situations. Depends on what the viewer wishes to watch I suppose, I would personally not recommend was interesting though.
