Deborah Johnson, MD

Excellent series. Puts so much of what I learned about the Civil War and Reconstruction into balance after having the "Lost Cause" version stuffed down my throat in 1960's Texas. As a transplanted Ohioan I realized this wasn't right, but it wasn't until only recently that this all became clear to me. I am going to get the Chernow biography now and read the details. I wonder if Grant's autobiography is still in print. Like to read that too.
