I recorded the three episodes so I could watch them at my convenience. First chance I have had to watch them was this week and I settled down for a night of enjoyment, how wrong. I wasn't sure where the storyline came from but I guess the Director/Producers must have read the cover of the original book and then made up their own story from then on in. Shocking to say the least. The actors were good in their role, that I cannot fault but cheap special effects and a storyline that bore only a little resemblance to the HG Wells story with certain aspects of the story being mixed up. I don't mind paying the TV licence fee but what I do expect in return are quality productions, so what happened here? BBC, please pay heed to comments from licence fee payers and produce quality productions that do the actors and the production storyline some justice. Thankyou
