The game is phenomenal, so much freedom, so many ways to solve a problem, no dumb exposition dumps, just a quick intro and then it’s wide open. There’s a sort of high learning curve to combat and navigating the UI, but it diminishes some if you are familiar with D&D rules.
If you’re not familiar with the flow of D&D check out some YouTube videos to familiarize yourself. It plays very methodically like a chess game, so keep that in mind before buying, personally I love this aspect.
I have not enjoyed an RPG game like this since Oblivion on Xbox 360 or maybe even since the first Fable on original Xbox. Play the game, play it blind, explore thoroughly, and whatever happens let it ride for a gripping and even downright hilarious experience.
I will be checking out Divinity Original Sin 2 next. Thank you Larian, and fantastic job on Baldur’s Gate 3.
