A slow pace and predictable plot mars this attempt at a dark thriller. Average acting skills and a cliched ending, coupled with amateurish attempts at shock make this film a strict one-time watch, at best. To make matters worse, almost the entire film is shot in the dark in the gard of atmosphere, but all that's achieved is viewer irritation.

Though its faster, louder and funnier than Knives Out, Glass Onion pales in comparison to its predecessor on cleverness and complexity. There's no real mystery and the murderer is eminently guessable even before the film reaches its half-way mark. A rehash of several Agatha Christie plots makes the storyline familiar and easy to work out for Christie aficionados, so you'll feel good about solving the crime before the detective does. An average one-time watch, following which you can grumble about two alarming plot holes.

Outstanding, superlative plot, cast and cinematography. Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan are perhaps the best actresses for this genre. I was holding my breath throughout the film. And the cherry on top is the mesmerising conclusion. Highly recommended.

Lively, breezy, funny, and with dollops of nostalgia. Without revealing anything that would be spoilers, let it be said that this Spider-man movie combines with the earlier series films to create magic. The plot isn’t super, but the premise is, and as long as we're having a swinging time, who cares whether the plot is the best or not. 4.5 stars. The 0.5 star deduction is because I just couldn’t rate it on par with the two best Spider-man movies featuring The Green Goblin and Doc Ock, respectively. But a true blast nevertheless - totally worth a trip to the theatre, which we did for the first time in almost two years.

Fun but overly long. Clearly lacks originality, with the storyline almost a direct lift from Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 4. Emily Blunt's rendition of an Indiana Jones type character is nice, and surprisingly she has more action scenes than Dwayne Johnson, who's more of a comedy prop. Great special effects, of course, but strictly a one time watch.

After a compelling start, the film descends into the absurd. Overly long, predictable and avoidable.

Tired rehash of past ideas and a weak storyline mar the film. The BIG REVEAL isn'r big or shocking, and the unending action is without purpose or logic. The original series with Darth Vader as the archetypal bad guys still reigns supreme.
