Brilliant and Oscar worthy performance by Joaquin Phoenix. Dark movie highlighting that for many no hero arrives sinking them further into despair, a parallel for so many mentally ill people. Robert Deniro was fantastic as the TV show “hero” that lets the Joker down! Loved it!!!

The ending leaves you hanging. Too many unanswered questions. You never see what’s going on with the son, the point of the whole movie.
