44% of these reviews are by people that have clearly not reached the intellectual maturity of 2016 Jacob Sartorius and do not understand that the entire point of this film was to have it all filmed from Joe's perspective because it's not actually about the 'abduction'. So, no, you could not have made this yourself. No, they were not 'saving on the budget'. Stop writing film reviews when you clearly didn't pass year 9 English and go watch The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl instead.
