Same names as books, different story . It’s a fever dream of nonsensical story telling. The ambition of the shows creator was stifled by his ego in thinking he knew what vision the original author wanted. Cutting material is needed in a show of this magnitude; but omitting characters, important plot lines, and adding nonsensical romances makes for a poorly thought out dumpster fire.
