I have a mixed opinion about this book (spoilers ahead). Overall, I really enjoyed it especially the middle of it/climax where all of the characters had suspenseful situations which got me interested in reading it until the end. Unfortunately, I found the end quite unexpected yet expected. It honestly disappointed me quite a bit and I wanted more out of it, because I found the ending to make all that buildup and plot for nothing. I enjoyed Sarah's ending, but the rest was a let down, and there wasn't much written or at all about many of the girls on the list near the end. I wanted all the girls to have their ending and dialogue about what happened to them, which sadly didn't happen.
!spoilers!
It's a good book, very relatable as a teenage girl, and I loved how the author put the personalities and lives of 8 different teenage girls accurately!
However, I didn't like the way the story handled things like Bridget's eating disorder. I feel like the author should've added near the end something such as Bridget realizing her ED is wrong, instead she doesn't seem to learn from it and feels happier being unhealthily and dangerously thin, or maybe she does? I get that the author is trying to show how eating disorder's can affect peoples mindset's, but I think there should of been some kind of realization or something. Some people reading it might be triggered by it or be too impressionable and think it's a good thing. Then again that's just me
But the problem is that there is no ending to prove that she gets over it and it works out for her somehow, just like almost all the other girls except for Margo basically. I wanted to know what happened to all of the girls, what their ending was! The ending felt quite a bit like some kind of cliffhanger, which unfortunately isn't the case as there are no sequels to this book.
