Hannah is smart, beautiful, funny. But I've never understood why people believe the "reality" premise of the show. It is a dating game show and it is as silly and fake as the ones in the 60's - but people seem to feel it is real. Pageant queens and models purportedly "looking for true love" on these television "fantasy dates" with lots of sex, the bachelorette making out crazily with 2 dozen guys within the same week and at least 6 of them swearing they are "falling in love" (different apparently from "in love".) Makes for good TV but then please lets not confuse a fantasy game show with actual reality.
Why was it so terrible for Jed to have had a "secret" past girlfriend when Hannah herself just slept with another guy (4x)? Admittedly he was a BAD jerk to his ex by never formally breaking up with her, but still given the current "free love" scenario how can anyone figure out what is just casual and what is really real? I'm a grandma and grew up in the 60's & 70's when things were wild! Lots of us believed in free love. But we believed in romantic love and in finding our soul mates too --- it was before social media, thank god.
