With the evolution of audience we are definitely witnessing an evolution in the subjects being explored today in cinematic world.
There is no denying to the fact that it is this evolving and accepting viewership that is letting those directorial minds to make films that are socially relevant and strive to bring CHANGE.
If it wasn't for this progressive mindsets, who would have thought that we would get to watch a 2.5 hours of a mainstream Hindi film being made on menstrual hygiene done by a hindi film superstar.
One word that defines such an attempt is BRAVE.
R.balki successfully delivers a proficient narrative around menstruation trying to break the taboo attached with it through his brilliant writing. From highlighting the petty problems of menstruating women to getting to the solution in the second half, he well weaves the storyline from its inception to the conclusion.
And this initiative gets its due when it is performed by one and only AKSHAY KUMAR , who steals the show with his successful portrayal of the character through his conviction to deliver the agenda and thereby etching a point in the double standard minds of people.
PADMAN - deserves millions of eyeballs for its audacity to create a mental hygiene in the society.
A MUST WATCH
PS - hopefully the impact of the movie eradicates the tongue in cheek approach for such a natural human body phenomenon.
