Aquaman is the best DC film since The Dark Knight (2008). It discusses the themes of leadership, self-confidence, but most importantly family. Aquaman and Ocean Master’s conflict is based on having lost their own mother, Black Manta having lost his own father, and Mera and her father being at odds with each other. Aquaman was beautifully directed, well-acted, and had amazing visual effects and fight sequences, although the dialogue was heavily exposition-based. I’m giving Aquaman a 79%.
