Ponderous with plenty of dialog you’d never hear in the real world. Acting and directing are not always on point. If it weren’t for Jeff Bridges, I’d quit watching.

One of the best movie musicals ever. I never get tired of watching Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron together, although for Kelly, my favorite partner is Cyd Charisse. I love Oscar Levant in everything. Considering his lifelong struggle with depression, he's always the funniest guy in the room. His friend George Gershwin, when he was dying, designated Levant as his musical interpreter. That's wonderful for Gershwin fans. Levant can play the hell out of a piano.
